Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data MyTask collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We're a European company (based in Greece) and we've built this product with the GDPR in mind from the start. MyTask is currently in private beta, so some details here may be updated as the service matures.
What data we collect
We only collect what's needed to run the service:
- Account data: your name, email address, and a hash of your password (we never store your actual password).
- Workspace content: the tickets, comments, and attachments that you and your team create or upload.
- Technical logs: your IP address at login, kept for account security (for example, to spot suspicious login attempts).
- Session cookie: a single cookie that keeps you signed in. We don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
Why we process it, in plain words
We use your data to provide the service you've signed up for (performance of our contract with you), to keep your account and our systems secure (our legitimate interest), and, where required, to meet legal obligations (for example, billing records once paid plans launch). We never sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who else sees your data (subprocessors)
To run MyTask, we work with a small number of carefully chosen providers:
- Anthropic: when you click an AI action inside the app, the relevant ticket text is sent to the Anthropic API to generate the suggestion or summary you asked for. This only happens when you trigger it.
- Stripe: for payment processing, once paid billing launches. Your card details are never stored on our own servers.
- Our hosting provider: based in the European Union, hosts our servers and database.
- Our transactional email provider: sends operational emails such as signup confirmations, ticket notifications, and password resets.
Where your data lives
Your data is hosted on servers located within the European Union.
How long we keep it
While your account and workspace are active, we keep your data so you can access it. If you delete a workspace, its data is permanently purged 30 days after deletion. You can also ask us to anonymize your account at any time, without needing to delete your whole workspace.
Your rights
As a data subject, you have the right to:
- request access to the data we hold about you,
- export your workspace data using our built-in data export tool,
- ask us to correct inaccurate information,
- ask us to delete your data,
- lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority).
